Hi, I'm Angela Letts, ICMG, CCE — Owner of Studio 851 Pet Spa & Grooming L.L.C.
Styling pets is not just my career — it’s my passion. I’ve always had a deep love for animals and a creative spirit, and grooming has allowed me to combine both in a meaningful and rewarding way.
I bring more than 800 hours of academy training and over ten years of experience in the grooming industry. I am an Internationally Certified Master Groomer (ICMG) and a Certified Pet Esthetician (CCE), as well as a recognized Creative Grooming Specialist through OPAWZ.
Pet safety and comfort are at the heart of my work. I have extensive training in animal safety and handling, and hold multiple professional certifications, including:
These certifications reflect my commitment to maintaining the highest grooming standards—ensuring I can respond to emergencies, follow established safety protocols, participate in ongoing education, and uphold professional inspection requirements.
I am also a proud member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA) and International Professional Groomers, Inc. (IPG).
At Studio 851 Pet Spa & Grooming, your pet’s safety, comfort, and style always come first.

At Studio 851, your pet is treated with the same love and care I give my own.
My priority is always what’s best for your pet—keeping them clean, healthy, comfortable, and looking their absolute best.
I understand that grooming can be overwhelming for some pets, especially if it’s their first visit or they have had difficult experiences in the past. That’s why I’ve created a calm, welcoming spa environment designed to reduce stress and promote relaxation. Each pet enjoys a private, start-to-finish appointment with gentle, low-stress handling techniques. Soft music, diffused essential oils, and a clean, peaceful atmosphere help make every visit a soothing experience. And for a little extra joy, we offer a complimentary gourmet treat bar—because spa days should be something to look forward to!
I groom dogs, cats, and even ferrets, and I provide nail trims for other small animals as well. Our studio offers a variety of specialty products and spa treatments tailored to support optimal skin and coat health. Every pet is pampered with premium, natural, professional-grade products selected specifically for their needs.
I especially love working with puppies and kittens, and offer a special introductory package just for them. These visits help them become comfortable with grooming early on, build trust, and establish healthy habits. They also give me an opportunity to teach you how to best care for their individual skin, coat, and dental needs.
At Studio 851, your pet’s comfort, confidence, and well-being are always at the heart of every grooming session.

These all-natural, organic, therapeutic treatments feed and hydrate your dog's skin with essential minerals, vitamins, and fatty acids to cleanse, detoxify, and heal naturally and organically. Mud is blended using the finest, medicinal clays enriched with essential minerals that detoxify the skin by exchanging themselves for the debris, impurities, and toxins that create problem skin. Organic oils are blended to nourish the skin and coat. These can be added to any bath or grooming package.

Nagayu is a compressed tablet consisting of carbon dioxide, hydrogen and bicarbonate. The system add ions into the rinse following the shampoo, which has been an effective medical treatment on humans for years. This method originated in a small village named “Nagayu” located in Southern Japan, where carbon dioxide naturally occurs in hot springs.

Full service grooming takes approximately 1-3 hours per pet, depending on size, coat, style, and temperament. I will give you an estimated time after I assess your pet at check in. You are welcome to drop your pet off and run some errands, go home and clean pet hair, wash pet's bedding, or even treat yourself to a salon treatment. Just please make sure to be available to pick up when I call. As much as I enjoy spending time with your pets, I need to make myself available for my next appointment. Other services like nail trimming, toothbrushing, etc. just take a few minutes.
At Studio 851 your pet's health and safety is our number one priority.
Due to the laws in the State of Michigan, all pets over the age of 4 months will be required to be up to date on their rabies vaccination for any services at Studio 851 (rabbits and guinea pigs are exempt). A rabies certificate or vet receipt with pet's name and rabies expiration date will need to be seen at check in (If you have misplaced it, I can verify with your veterinarian during their business hours). If your pet is not able to receive the rabies vaccine due to health complications, an exemption certificate from your veterinarian will be honored. The up-to-date parvo vaccine is also required. All other vaccines are strongly recommended. There is a 10 day waiting period after receiving any vaccines to prevent pain at injection site and also avoid stress to pets that may be experiencing an unexpected reaction to a vaccine.
If your pet is matted to the point that de-matting will cause pain or injury, your pet will be completely shaved and I will discuss how you can help to avoid this at your pet's next visit. I am not able to bath matted pets without first shaving their mats and I will not send home a pet with mats still in their coat. If you have a bath and brush appointment and mats are discovered at check in, your pet will need a full service groom. I will never cause a pet unnecessary pain for the sake of vanity. If de-matting is possible without causing pain or injury, you will be charged $1 per minute in addition to my standard grooming rates.
I am not able to groom pets who have been given a sedative, nor do I administer sedation. Sedation should only be given at the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. If you expect that your pet will need sedation for grooming, it is best that you contact a local veterinarian who offers grooming services. In the rare event that continuing services could result in detriments to the health or safety of your pet or myself, services will be discontinued and you will be contacted to pick up your pet immediately. I don't like using muzzles routinely, as this causes pets unnecessary stress. However, sometimes it is necessary. I am unable to muzzle brachycephalic breeds of dogs or cats, or senior pets. Doing so could cause breathing and other health complications. In this situation, I attempt to use an E-collar in place of a muzzle. If a pet is biting to the point of needing muzzled and I am unable to muzzle your pet due to their unique health needs, you will be contacted to pick up immediately. You will only be charged for the services your pet receives.
